Welcome to our websiteThis former 18th Century miner's cottage is situated in the small village of Ireshopeburn, situated between Alston and Stanhope within an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' in a little known corner of the Northern Pennine Hills-Weardale. It is a cosy cottage which retains many of its original features.This area is a haven for walkers, bird watchers, anglers, cyclists and any country lovers. Set in a perfect location for a 'get away from it all' holiday or short break. Built into the fell side, the stairs take you to a rear seating area, an ideal suntrap. Walk into the village, stroll the quiet lanes, or mountain bike on some of the most challenging surrounding moorland tracks of the Northern Dales.
